Enhanced Security: Lockdown mode

Itatem offers its users greater security by default. Users benefit from protections against:

  • Brute force attacks
  • Compromised credentials (username and password)

However, some user may require further protections. Itatem offers “Lockdown Mode” for those users who seek protections against multi-factor (MFA) compromise. This includes SIM cloned devices.

What is Lockdown Mode?

Configuring your Itatem account to use “Lockdown Mode” allows you to enroll specific devices that are approved to perform multi-factor (MFA) confirmations when your login is being challenged.

How do I configure my account to use Lockdown Mode?

Configuring your account to use Lockdown mode for additional protections is easy, start by logging into your Identity Bank account (https://ib.itatem.com).

Once you are logged in, you will see the menu option “Lockdown”:

Click on Lockdown and you will see:

Now click on the link “To enroll new devices into your account Lockdown settings”. You will then see:

You will now see two links appear. The first one is for enrolling a computer to your Itatem account, the “text me the link” is for enrolling mobile devices.

Whether you are enrolling a computer or a mobile device you will see the following when you click on the link:

When you click the “Confirm” button, your computer/device will now be enrolled to your account and your account is now in Lockdown Mode.

We suggest you use the “text me” link first to enroll your mobile device(s). Then use the other link to enroll computers. This ensures the easiest path to future device/computer enrollment.
